Replaced a canvas top canopy that blew over on a windy day. I enjoy sitting under this on sunny days but also rainy days listening to the rain hit the roof.
I had no problems assembling, saw others had problems. Took me around 13 hours to complete.
Pros: quick delivery, looks awesome (neighbor commented on getting on now), solid construction, posts can be secured to a deck.
Cons:
Wish it came with rubber seals for the decorative balls on top, rain can seep around and drip into the canopy. It's not hard to add these, but it'll require me temporarily removing part of the roof to reach the balls.
Canvas walls don't connect to posts so they blow in the wind, netting does connect though.

Beautiful relaxing space. Needed to hire someone to assemble.

Received all 5 boxes in mostly good condition. There were couple of insignificant dents in the very top piece. It took me about 3 days to install, I did have one of my grandsons help with the very top roof framing and installing the roofing. The instructions would have a little easier to follow if they were labeled with "Step#?" instead of just "1" "2", etc.
The outer curtain would be a lot easier to maintain if it had rivet eyes along the bottom to add weights, etc. to help it from blowing in the wind.
Overall a very nice product and would do it again if the need arose.

I took off one star because some of the roof panel holes didn't line up and the instructions were a bit fuzzy, but honestly that's nit-picking. This gazebo is really solid and looks fantastic once assembled. The materials are actually higher quality than I expected, even the screens and curtains are really nice. I did about 80 percent of the work by myself, and my wife helped with the rest. The only part we struggled with was framing the second wall allowing the gazebo to stand by itself. I'd recommend having 3 or 4 people for that step if possible, but it only takes about 20 minutes to accomplish. The total time it took to complete our 12 x 20 gazebo was roughly 3 to 4 days. Yes, it's a big project, but if you're handy it's really satisfying once done. One tool I'd classify as essential is a battery operated drill with adjustable torque so you can buzz the screws in without stripping them. I also needed the drill to line up some of the roof panel holes, but that was easy to do and still looks perfect. Overall my wife and I are really happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend it.

We have yet to open the boxes
We're seniors and we're trying to hire someone to put it up.

The gazebo came in 5 boxes. We paid to have it installed (well worth the cost of time if you don't have the skill set or the bandwidth), it took 2 people about 6 hours. The gazebo looks great, it's sturdy, well constructed. I would recommend this product

Love, love this gazebo! Had a soft top and after 10 replacement cover/tops decided to save myself time and money by purchasing a hard top. Not only is this Purple Leaf gazebo sturdy, it’s beautiful, adding just what I needed for my backyard! Very pleased with the customer service also!

The set up seemed like it was going to be difficult because there are lots of pieces. But laying out the pieces and dutifully following the instructions made it much easier. Having good help from family and friends also helps. It can be done in one day……but it’s ALL day. We actually finished on day two just because we needed a break. But only a couple hours on day two so just plan for a second day just in case.
We didn’t put up the curtains yet because it’s a second home and we aren’t moving there until next year. But they seem to be of good quality. Really looking forward to enjoying this outdoor space.

We love our gazebo, it’s built very sturdy, looks great and we’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it already. But— let me warn you- it’s delivered by fedex. We had five big heavy boxes delivered in three different times and not once was anything delivered on the day it was supposed to be. The last box came on Easter. There is a LOT of parts and you really need to pay attention and use the correct part. Sometimes the part looks almost the same, but it has a different number and is slightly different. It helps to get very organized. The screens and curtains are very good quality. We bought the 12 x 16 and it’s the perfect size. Great purchase!

Purchased the 12 x 16, My wife and I assembled. The Gazebo has a good quality. The assembly PDF could have more detail although I am in the engineering field I found myself reverting to You Tube to capture some detail. So far a satisfied customer.

Parts clean of any burrs or scratches and well engineered. About four half days to assemble. Wish instructions included more verbiage instead of just pictorial. Once assembled and tightened down gazebo was very solid although I did install supplemental guy wires in the event I ever experience high winds.

Time consuming but turned out great.
My husband is pretty handy and this took us all weekend to assemble but it was worth it! A lot of the hardware is similarly sized so meticulous organization is really helpful.

100% Worth It

Best Gazebo Ever!
I would give this a 6 star rating if I could. First, customer service is great! I contacted them a couple of times and they always responded within 24 hours. We hired 2 people to put this up and they said directions were easy to follow. Looks fantastic!! We have not put up netting yet as we are going to install a ceiling fan and lights around the inside. We are having a heat wave, but it is noticeably cooler under the gazebo. We had a strong thunderstorm and gazebo held up under sting winds. We have it attached to our deck. If you are looking for a good looking, sturdy gazebo, I would highly recommend this one.

Very nice product
Was a little more work to assemble than I first anticipated however I was impressed with the efficient, quality engendering good value. Leave it up year round, seems built to last. Happy with the purchase.

Quality, sturdiness, beauty, all in one
First of all let me begin by saying what everyone else is that the instructions are terrible. However if you and your wife are putting this together logical thinking is a plus. Some parts are very frustrating but I can tell you in the end it will all turned out GREAT. We ordered the 10 x 12 gazebo to fit on a concrete slab which was 12 x 14. We ordered the 10 x 12 gazebo to pet The fit was perfect . The gazebo arrived approximately two weeks after we had ordered it. To our dismay the shipping company only delivered one box and that was the box that contained the frame. Not the roof panels
Now let me tell you about the great customer service of the manufacturers . We mediately called the manufacturers and explained the dilemma . They immediately contacted the shipping company and discovered that the shipping company had lost package 2 . They immediately shipped out a replacement box CO2 for the roof panels . Looking back on the situation it was a godsend because it allowed us my wife and I to assemble the frame in 1 1/2 days . All I can say is if this is a husband and wife team please be patient with each other .,
The roof panels finally arrived about 1 1/2 weeks later. We accomplished the finished product within two days and it was complete . This gazebo is not only beautiful and adds elegance And also very sturdy . Because we live in Florida I took the extra precaution of drilling anchors into the concrete to secure i
from ever moving in case of a hurricane
If you are looking to purchase a gazebo , do not hesitate to purchase this product . It is well worth the money Terry and Sandy

Great Pavilion - good size, good looks, easy assembly
This project was relatively easy to put together and it looks and functions Awesomely. I installed ours as the center place in our large vegetable garden. A great addition for sitting in the shade and out of the rain while watching things grow.
There are a lot of parts but it wasn't difficult or challenging to assemble, and certainly not as complex as building a pavilion from scratch. The design and manufacturing is nice and spot on. The instructions were clear and all parts fit perfectly and logically. The packing designer/engineer is a genius to get everything so nicely into just four boxes. I used an electric driver to tighten the hundreds of hex nuts, which was way faster than using the supplied Allen wrenches. I recommend either getting long bits or use an extender so the driver chuck clears structure in a few places. Also, this is aluminum, so set the torque to a very low setting.
I did the entire project by myself (solo) and didn't have much difficulty. I used a couple of ladders to prop things against a few times while building the structure. It would have been even more of a snap if I had a helper to just hold things (anyone able & comfortable to be on a ladder up to ~6' that could just have held a light part while I tightened it). That said, it only took me maybe 4-6 hours to build the structure then another 8 or so to put on the roofing (lots of bolts).
I build my 12'x20' pavilion on pier blocks, that I installed after I built the structure because I wasn't 100% sure where the six pillars would rest. I was able to shift the entire pavilion around as I wanted to get it situated before I anchored it to the blocks. My concern will be our heavy winds lifting the pavilion, so I anchored into the conical blocks and packed dirt to the top. That should provide 1000s of pounds of lift resistance.
Customer service was very helpful with delivery. There are 4 large boxes (each <140lbs). I only received 3 boxes in the original delivery. I contacted Purple Leaf late on a Friday, they got right back to me several times over the weekend and tried to track the missing box (box #3 - one of the roofing boxes). When the box wasn't found in the shipping warehouses, they promptly shipped me the missing #3 box. It was very smooth for me. I had everything I needed to build the structure in boxes #1 & #2, so I just did that and was ready for the roofing when it arrived.
I have run electrical and a dedicated internet line out to the structure so now we have wifi in the garden. In hindsight I would have run the lines up inside the columns, that would have been very slick and not to difficult to do.

Honest Consumer
I must say the instructions are not listed and its all vision and common sense, will need a 6 to 8 foot latter.
Worth the time to put all this together to its every detail to appreciate the quality and sturdiness, design perfectly for hosting any events. 12 x16 its pretty much a big area to keep guests dry or off the sun.

nice unit
after opening the boxes , & finding the directions , i started in , parts wher all there , & packaged decently! directions are for someone who has common sense , you just need to study them ! every thing went together easily , with the exception of the strange kind of bolt that went thru the holes at each corner , to hold legs to main rails , a few stripped out , they should be course threads not fine, ! also i didnt pay attention to the roof rafters , & had to drill my own hole in 2 of them , but that was my mistake , they all looked alike , & i thought they could go in any orientation , ooooops , no biggy , & the part that slowed me down was the little crazy things that go on the angles of the roof panels , that go into the channels , they wer all labeled correctly , but they dont go on the easiest , specially when there are numerous 3 per panel x 32 or more , & once on dont let the wind blow over any of them , because they fall off , even just looking at them they fell off , i see that there where holes in some , suggesting , that perhaps they should be riveted , to the panels , because once up on hte ladder trying to get the panels to go into those channels , they fall off , the poor neighbors , had to hear foul language , for several hours , but after fighting with them , i overcame and adapted to the situation , if the manufacture reads this , i suggest u make those things attach in a easier fashion , if they go on ez ,& stay on then putting on the panels will go much faster , i am a plumber , & hvac guy , we use this tool thats called a punch lock for putting together duct work , a little redesign of those peices , and the panel punch locked , would be nice , with all that being said , this unit went together ez , i did silicone the middle of each main rail section , as the rain water dripped from these locations , this is a quality unit , i wished it was 14x18 , but that would be in a perfect world , i started building it on a friday after dinner , around 5 or 6 , had my teenage son hold the legs , &side rails up while i got the four corners together , , & the upper roof part i assembled , & called hinm out to help me get it up on top , i worked until 10 , then started in the next morning around 9-9:30 & worked until 7pm it was complete except the curtain & screen , which i installed after oiling the IPE on the deck i built it on

Great outdoor family space
This is a beautiful gazebo. We had a few pcs that had to be replaced from shipping but they replaced them as soon as they were contacted. This was a gift for my mother in law which can not be in the sun. We are enjoying our outdoor family space.
