Awesome gazebo

Wanted to wait until was up for a bit to write review. The shipping was fast and arrived in excellent condition. All parts were there. The directions are pretty dismal, but if you have put anything IKEA together you should be fine. Easier to do with two people, but I did it mostly on my own. We had several severe storms with strong wind, hail and rain. Held its own, much to my relief since I had just put it up two days earlier. Husband and I sat under it tonight while it rained. I do have the four legs screwed into our deck. Bought the 10 x 14 and it is perfect. Anything smaller I feel would not fit the table and chairs around it comfortably with enough room on the sides to protect from rain. The sides are light and will blow and are kinda annoying. I think they may be used more to keep sun out then wind? I may sew on chain link on the bottom to weigh it down but I would not put too much weight on it since it is held up on plastic sliding things and while the frame is sturdy it can bend. So worth the money, cheaper than a huge patio umbrella and I believe it will be more useable with the mosquito netting and sides in the long run. During the summer, the bugs can really drive us inside prematurely here in MN. The vented top I believe is a key component for this to withstand wind since it allows it to go somewhere instead of doing a big umbrella lift. It also allows the hot air to rise out. I did not want a permanent structure and this is perfect. I figure if I get one good summer, fall out of this it will be money well spent. Two would be a bonus. We'll see.

Could use a few tweaks

For the most part I am pleased with the gazebo. The curtains and netting are on the outside of the frame and are a tight fit. Bugs can easily still get in as there is room between the frame and where curtain starts. The upper frame where the curtains hang could be made stronger. There should be some sort of plug so the curtain/netting holders stay on and not pop off. Lastly the directions for the canopy should be more detailed, not just show where it goes. The gazebo so far is holding up nicely, it’s only been up a couple of weeks.
